The carrier is designed intuitively with smart parrots in mind.It is sturdy as well.Easy to assemble. We always had used kennel carriers for emergency visits to vet. We had concerns about the macaws holding to the grills with their beak(having their legs left on the flat surface of the kennel carrier). This product helps giving the birds a peace of mind during such distressed times. Also the product is good for short term travel and vet visit purposes.Would be good to have for future buyers:1. Increase in length (to cover birds with long tail feathers)2. Provide a perch as well

My conure has no issue being in this at all when I have to take him out of the house. It’s like a little camper for him lol. It is a bit heavy, but that reassures me that it’s sturdy! It’s spacious enough that my green boy can climb around, and I don’t feel bad if he has to be in there for a couple hours. Cleaning is easy with the removable tray. Works good!

When I was assembling this I wasn’t sure how robust it would be. However after several months of use if holds up very well and is a lot more secure than i would have expected. It’s also very easy to clean

Where do I start. Well, first let me say I actually do really like this cage, but there are some faults as well.Pros-it looks nice, my green cheek conure seems to like it, and seems pretty sturdy. It seems like it will be easy to clean. A nice size for travel or for a sleep cage. I think this cage will be perfect for when I travel for a few days to family’s house and want to take my guy with me. I think it will also work well for outside to get some fresh air. I feel like it’s sturdy enough that the normal predators wouldn’t be able to get to my bird.ConsWas a little difficult to put together, watching the videos did help-actually a must. The instructions that come with it are pretty difficult to follow and are incorrect on which bolts to put where. Also since I put the wrong bolt in first. I still haven’t been able to get the wrong one out so that I can put the correct one in. On the side I got the correct one in, it’s still not wanting to screw all the way in. It is quite heavy, so I wouldn’t say it would be convenient for a quick trip to the vet, but would work great if you were traveling and needed a cage for a few days. Obviously not large enough for long term use. I also own a parakeet/budgie, and I feel like the bar spacing and other gaps may be a little large for him even though it’s described as being for those little guys as well. The Vivo Home sign on the front was actually a hazard for us. While putting together I grabbed the door and actually cut my thumb pretty good on it. Glad I found it and not by bird. This was fixed easily enough with a file, but definitely check. It sliced me right open and I don’t want to think of the damage it could have caused to my birds foot. All in all, for the price, and what you get, I can’t say I’m unhappy, but these are things I would want to know prior to purchase. I would definitely buy again, and if the bar spacing and gaps weren’t quite as big, I would be purchasing one for my parakeet as well, but since that’s not the case, I will need to find an alternate solution for him.

This cage, packaged flat, arrived promptly and in good shape. With clear instructions and extra screws I assembled it quickly and confidently. It fits easily in my car, worked well transporting an eclectus to the vet, and makes for a sturdy portable perch for the African grey in my life. I bought the cage to provide for safe and easy travel with the African grey. This purchase pleases me.
